Experience with vendors
Experience with vendors
I am considering purchasing a GT3TEK rear bumper for my 06 997. Has anyone had any experience with them? I am interested in how they performed.
No need to respond here, PM me please.
Thanks in advance.

it is always an option...I have already pm'd ACG and asked them to let me know what the hangup is...hopefully they will respond quickly...taking these things to the board is never the best action because it immediately creates bad feelings that get in the way of getting matters resolved
Originally the client inquired about the wheels in November last year. In February 2011 the client has e-mailed me back asking if we can honor the quote. Since I have originally quoted the client, Vorsteiner has raised the price of their wheels dramatically. I have worked with Vorsteiner and was able to honor the quote. The wheels were ordered on 02/16/11 with American Express. Once the payment has cleared (takes 4-5 business days) the order was placed with Vorsteiner. On 3/29/11 the wheels were completed, however two of the wheels had small artifacts in the powdercoat. With most other companies that finish would pass the quality control (trust me I know) but Vorsteiner felt that 2 of the wheels needed to be refinished.
Meanwhile, I have been in contact with the client at all times. In fact, I have 20 e-mails sent to the client in my Outbox. Those emails contain numerous quotes, examples of the wheels, production images, timely updates etc.
When ordering a set of custom wheels, one needs a little patience. As of right now 80% of custom wheel brands have a 12 week manufacturing period. We are now on week # 9 with this particular order and the wheels are at our facility mounted and balanced and ready to get picked up by UPS tomorrow.
The service that ACG and Vorsteiner have provided to the client was more then satisfactory.

Well, I'm not the client in this instance, but that certainly sounds like a VERY satisfactory and complete response to me! Good work for the high level of service and documentation to back it up...
