First off a "black edition" car is in itself a hard car to negotiate on because it is somewhat limited and thus exclusive .
Secondly -- Thirty Four thousand dollars is a lot of money to rent a car for two years only to have no equity when you are done . Add to that the serice and tire replacent and tax and we're talking 40 grand only to end up with having to buy a new car when you are done .
I undestand that you would like a new car . I happen to agree with you that a new car is yours from day one and you write the history with it fresh out of the gate.
But --if you can not afford to buy the car don't buy it . Don't lease it . Just save up for it . The car will always be there but the empty hole in the wallet can not be replaced . A car will not bring enjoyment if it results in debt and financial strain .

You can get a CPO 2006 C2S/C4S for ~$55K and it's yours to keep after you make all your payments. Thanks to google car payment calculator $10K down, at 2.49% interest rate (penfed) for 60 months, your car payment is less than $800/month. And honestly 80% of Porsches are black editions.
I'm just waiting for Suncoast to stock the black edition badges so I can make mine official.

with a lease of only 7.5k miles other then a couple oil changes there won't be much to do.
after the 2 years he could then finance the buy out price and still keep it.or move into a 991...
even if he bought it and sold it in 2 years he would still be out 30k..the second he drives it off the lot its lost 10 grand.+ sales tax

It's not just the color. It comes standard with Infotainmaint, heated power seats, Turbo II wheels. Saves about $5k in options compared to the std Carrera

That lease is like renting a car for over $1500/mo. I'd hate to figure that out on a per mile basis, but it would be scary. If you go used and buy, you should be able to keep the depreciation figure to less than $10k per year. If you can't afford the payment, you really can't afford the car.
