Pulled the trigger on my 1st p-car...
Greetings all! I've been lurking for a while, reading a lot of posts as I have been researching my purchase. I've always dreamed of owning a 911, and that day is finally here!
After a couple of months of looking, I found my car - an 05 C2S. Black on Black, 6MT, adaptive sports seats, full leather, Bose. No Sport Chrono. It was definitely on my preferred option list, but not a deal-breaker given the rest of the package (options, condition, price). 47k miles, CPO - got new rubber and a front brake job as part of the certification.
The car is on a transporter headed my way as I write. I wish it had been in the cards to pick it up (in LA) and drive it home (1400 miles but a nice way to get to know her!), but the time and sales tax differential made it a non-starter. So I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival later this week.
At some point in the not too distant future, hope to change out the rims and probably add the Gateway 500 audio.
Looking forward to participating on the forum!

Congrats Tim!
I got my 997 about a month ago. I am so jealous that you are in Austin. I was there last weekend. I got there Friday morning and went straight to Lime Creek Road.
Have fun and be safe.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone!
@Peter - Yes, I love Austin, not just for the city but all the great hill country drives that are just outside my backyard. Not sure where you are in TX, but there are some great routes SW of here around Bandera. Been on several club drives around there (past rides fun included a 94 Taurus SHO and most recently an 02 525i).
Lime Creek is at the top of my list once the car shows up...

Congrats! Actually at DFW Airport headed to Austin right now. I thought about taking my GTS, but 35 is such a PITA and wasn't real comfortable pulling up to a customer location in that car. But there are some GREAT roads for these cars in Hill Country!
Enjoy
