i was missing some ps fluid in the 997 and put in some. but it's not the pentosin brand.... it is regular power steering fluid from Mopar... the one they use in mercedez benz. it was not alot, but after i realized that they request a tis pentosin brand..

can someone advise of a damage report that may happen...should i flush immediately....

i was going to take what is in the reservoir and change it out for the pentosin this weekend..

I think you may be in unchartered waters here. (ie who knows?) If you just topped it off you might wait until next service. I guess I would call dealer parts/service and see what they say.

 

not a good idea to mix this stuff but IMHO nothing bad will happen. it is not going to explode.
i would be much more concerned to find source of a leak, if you lost enough to have to add a lot of it.

 

thanks for responding. the amount i put in is about 2 table spoons. not much. i just worried about the seals and stuff....

but i am going in for service on friday, i will ask them to take a look also at the ps system.
