997 in the snowbelt?

Thinking about a 997 cab as my next car. I live in a very snowy state (Minnesota). Love the state, hate the snow. Curious if other 911 owners drive their cars year round. I've got a BMW 335i convertible now. I just slap some snow tires on it and drive it year round. No real problems. I'm thinking the C4 would be even a little better with all wheel drive. Or is the power and ground clearance a problem?

Do all of you in the north just garage it for the winter?

Thanks!

Alec

Daniel Leung is infamous around these parts
I drive my 997tt AWD all year round in the NY, NJ area. I change it to snow tires in winter and no problem at all. I once drove it when the snow is about 4" high and still going strong.

997 Targa 4 is great in Winter

I live in NE Ohio, have a 997 Targa 4, and use it as my daily driver...year round. It is a blast to drive in the winter. I swap over to winter tires on 18" wheels, and have never had any issues whatsover.

One concern that I have is ground clearance.....but most of the roads around here are reasonbly well managed in winter, and that has yet to be an issue.
