I like that new first photo. As I look at the rest of them, I can't help but think they'd be great for an ad for the wheel guys. Those wheels rock! And they really stand out in the photos.
I'm no pro, but I think the pro photographers would say that the wheels are a bit too dominant. Seems a bit out of balance. I need more practice myself with my black car, and HDR, so I'm sorry I can't give more specific advice.
I think you're on the right track with that new first photo, though! Given that you're shooting in RAW, you should be able to play around some more.
Maybe I'll break out my gear this weekend and play around a bit. I can even do a bit of strobist stuff with off-camera flash - that might be fun.

That first photo was just a photograph(NOT HDR but tweaked just a bit)!
Practice practice practice,LOL....I guess I will keep practicing!
