Auto Dipping mirrors

Auto Dipping mirrors
So, i found something really cool in my car yesterday.
When the car is in reverse, and i turn the rear view mirror control to the right side mirror, it dips automatically so that i can see the curb when parking.

But this does not happen for the right side mirror.

My question is, should this happen for both mirrors or only one?

this works on pretty much all cars that have dipping passenger side mirrors..
