anyone bought stainless steel door sill entry guards
I did mine a few years ago. The hard part (and I mean hard part) is removing the plastic ones and the adhesive residue that is left on the actual sill. It takes lots of elbow grease. I used a 3M adhesive removal product. Even employing the 3M chemical help whatever Porsche uses is super strong. I used plastic putty knife (didn't want to scratch the painted sill) to help. I think as a final step I used either acetone or lacquer thinner w/ rag very carefully get all the 'goop' removed.
If I recall the SS sills already had 2-sided tape so it was just a matter of positioning the correctly before pressing them down.
It's not a technically tough job. Just be patient and use some muscle to get all that goop off so you have clean surface for the new SS sill plates.
Have fun . . . .
ps. Check w/ Suncoast Porsche for the sills. I think they're about $250 or so.

No problem . . . What is really nice about the SS sill is that they are virtually impossible to scuff unless someone is wearing golf spikes or steel soled shoes. The regular black plastic sills get easily scuffed and marred.
Just did mine a couple of weeks ago. Bought them from Suncoast. Removal was not very difficult as I believe the newer the car the less work is required to remove the glue that remains. Very pleased.
I did mine a year ago. I agree the hardest part is removing the plastic sills and residue. I'm assuming you're considering the non-illuminated SS sills. The installation of illuminated sills is much more involved (and they are much more expensive).
