Study: Porsche Drivers more Attractive than Honda Drivers
Absurd . Who ever thought up this concept of a car as an attraction magnet for women ? It must have been a very insecure dude because let's face it .. there are some women who write letters and drool over guys who are even sitting in prison .
Maybe, just maybe, women buy Porsches to attract women too! haha
Maybe, men with Civics and Porsches have the same amount of desire "non-committal sexual relationships," but the Porsche owners are presented with more opportunities for "non-committal sexual relationships." For instance, if the average chance that an interaction will lead to this relationship is 1/100, and this Civic owner only gets 50 chances where as a Porsche owner get 200 chances. The data may look like the Porsche owner is pursuing these relationships when he really isn't. So, its not us, its them.
hummmmm... what a dumb study. i wonder how i could get a job doing it.

Exactly. As my comment in the other thread: don't these people have anything better to do than give my wife more reasons to wear me out about my 911???
The thing is: my 911 rarely gets any comments, and when it does, it's from guys (don't even start...). But when I had the Panny, EVERYDAY I had 2-3 women say hello and comment on it. My wife actually gets that rebuttal fairly well as she experienced the comments when she drove it also.
But driving a 911 and being categorized this way is a lot better than NOT driving one and being some boring-*** researcher trying to create justification for not having one.

I tend to get pretty few comments too. Mostly car enthusiasts. Otherwise I tend to get looks of indignation / disgust (probably because of my age)...

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? (I'm 24
)
My new GT silver buddy doesn't get many comments, and that's ok with me. Mostly guys say "love that color", or beautiful car, but I've had a few women say they like it. Women DROOL over Cayennes.
I once had an ex-girlfriend allude to me getting other women because of my car, something to the effect of "isn't that what the car's all about"?? Shortly thereafter, she was fired. I didn't and do not buy cars to attract women. It's silly to me. I bought the damn thing because I love being in it, and driving it.

Seriously though - she likes "being the girl in the Porsche"
She told me she used to see other chicks in P-cars and think "what do they have that I don't have?"

There is a flaw in Porsches Design language.
The Single who buys the 911 doesn't get much looks and the Family man who "has" to settle for the Panamera gets hit on all day.
