best way to add bluetooth to my 997.1?
I've searched but most solutions include ipod integration. I just want a semi-seamless hands-free phone solution. Thoughts for best solution balancing cost, quality, and simplicity?

+1..same one here. It announces the battery level when you turn it on and shows power level on the iPhone. |

I purchased a 2007 997 C2 a few months ago and it came with the Tooki Bluetooth and iPOD adapter. I have never used a bluetooth in my cars before (not much for talking and driving), so for even a novice like me, it took less than 30 seconds for the car system to identify and connect to my iphone and I've had no problems since.

+1 Motorola Droid Roadster. Less than $60 on Amazon.

+1 for Tooki. Full integration into PCM like OEM equipment.

if u want the PCM integration, use the Dension or Tooki
keep in mind the performance varies by the quality of the mic u use and the placement of the mic (very important) much less expensive way is the visor bluetooth.. one drawback i can think of is that u must constantly re-charge the visor unit. |
I had this Parrot unit installed. Works well enough with my Droid 2.

I have the mObridge unit installed. Integrates into the PCM like the factory telephone system. Works very well with my iPhone 4. I tried a few of the visor units but when driving at highway speeds none of them were loud enough for me to clearly hear the other person on the call.

I keep seeing positive Motorola Roadster reviews, so let's give it a go. Can't beat $60 and if I don't like it in the 911 it will go in my wife's SUV.

+1 on Motorola Droid Roadster.
Also streams audio to your car's stereo - mp3, ipod, or internet.

Thinking of putting XM in my 2006 997 C2; likely will use the Cayenne receiver. Would I still be able to add a Bluetooth/Ipod unit later, like Tooki or Dension? Mobridge?
