I got a good deal on a Tubi for my 997.2. Otherwise, I'd have the new FVD header/200 cell cats/center delete option. That said I think you are going to like the sound of the Tubi.

just from reading, I don't think you have to remove the bumper, yet it does make it much easer. I don't think the bumper is hard to remove for a seasoned tech.

I'm about to step into the same project myself. Please keep us up dated (install & sound)

The tech installing mine did not remove the bumper. I watched and the bumper did not seem to get in the way. Of course the car was on a lift.

On a cold start you will notice the change in sound. After a few seconds it calms down to a nice rumble. Sounds great starting it in the garage.

If you want to score some points with your tech spray some PB Blaster on any of the bolts you can get to before dropping off the car. All but one of the 6 bolts connecting to the two header tubes broke. I had them replaced with bolts and nuts, not the factory studs.

Enjoy

no issues in intallation, some bolts broke due to rust but replaced from porsche dealer
took around 3 hours, and rear bumper not removed

test drive results:
sound is amazing and loud enough for me!!
on start up you may tell the difference
while idle its tam, but above 3000 rpm it screams!!!
felt the added hourse power, the car feels faster and lighter

Would you mind telling me where you bought them and how much it cost you? I am still deciding about what I would install but have to soon.

Anyone wanting a 997.2 Tubi system I most likely will be selling mine in late August when my GTS comes.

If you have the money, go with akrapovic titanium race slip on system. Really really nice sound!
