Addicted to Porsche.com's car configurator

I admit, I'm a Porsche configuraholic.

I absolutely love the new GTS. Am also a big fan of the 997.2 regardless of the 991 coming out. Local dealers seem to have some decent 2011 stock on what I'm looking for, but the problem is I'm still ~6mo out from being ready for my next purchase.

Knowing these new 2011s will be long gone by the time I'm and feel used pickings will be quite slim, I thinking it'll be a 2012 order or the lengthy used search.

In the meantime, I find myself configurating a car daily (x2 sometimes). Anyone have a cure?

the only cure I found was to actually buy it

Yep, it happens till you finnally buy one, think I got my life back after the purchase, must have spent too much time on it.

Atleast Porsches are cheap in the US, and pretty much everywhere else. My Carrera S cost me $287000 new here in Australia!!!!!! Which really sucks. A Turbo S with all the stuff Id want is around $180k over there (from the configurator )

For all the freakin time I spent on the configurator, I've never bought one that resembled anything near what I had configured. All it takes is a test drive to give me the 'I WANT NOW' syndrome and I get to finding something that makes me happy.

But you can have fun on there...

so true!

I obsessed like a mad man from the moment I test drove mine, built a million on the configurator, then decided I just had to go down there and take the plunge. Problem SOLVED
