I think I will switch to Motul 5w40 Excess on my next oil change. I have an oil analysis on Mobil 1 0w40 so it might be interesting to compare the two.

 

Great idea! Please post the results. If there is nething controversial I will send mine in. I am using an additive that has been around for my last 3 cars called Militec1. Helps with cold starts by bonding ...etc. I have never discussed this because I don't want to have to deal with the inevitable "snakeoil" discussion. It would be interesting to compare. I only put 3K miles (6 months) between changes however and I know long term oil stability is the main goal of an analysis. Should be interesting.
