TPMS problem
TPMS problem
The right front tire pressure monitor on my 997.1 stopped working and the display shows ----. The pressure in the other tires continued to be displayed. Then the TPMS fault code on the dash stayed on. Does this mean I need a new sending sending unit in the right front or is this something that can be reprogramed?
Thanks for your advice.

easy answer is lifespan seems to be 5yrs. mine are approaching 5yrs and sometimes one wheel doesnt pick up on start-up and i have to reset the system. if yours are new and you suspect another issue is causing this, a search on here may help - it's been discussed plenty.
Yolev, the tire pressure sensor's battery lifespan should be check every 2 years or 20,000 miles whichever comes first.
If you have time bring it by to our shop in Pasadena and we'll use our PIWIS tester to check the lifespan on those things and go from there. It won't take us no more than 15mins and there will be no charge. Good luck.
