I would have to agree with thxbuff2001. Though I see some interesting things, the execution doesn't do it for me at all. I really hate saying that, and was hoping for better revelations without the armor.

LIKES: It's a Porsche; Led tails (though I agree with the AM reference and it's not cool)

DISLIKES: Front end inlet geometry & height, longer wheelbase; taller, fatter rear (and the taller diminishes the wide aspect that we all love). Panamera-ish looks inside and out. The whole deck area looks constipated and the opposite of fluid in design. There are graceful elements there in the rear/decklid area; but IMHO, it doesn't diminish the overall impact of what they've done.

At first, casual glance it's not so bad.. without scanning the details. But upon a better look it gets worse. I want the 911 to BE a 911. Not a homogenized representation of the whole Porsche line of vehicles.

What really drives the point home is the side view pictures with someone sitting in it, and you realize just how big this sucker is. I don't want a 911 GT, and this is exactly what it is. I want a 911 sportscar. Bloated and bulbous are two adjectives that come to mind.

Looks like a 911 that ate far too many bon-bons & invited Dr Mengele over to be shot up on steroids & put on the rack.

-100 for VAG.

baaash is infamous around these parts
the new model looks nice.. but why the changes come from old models..
dont like the idea of having the panamera interior on the Carrera 911 they dont match, also the front bumper is not cool it looks like a Boxter
lets wait and see...

+1. IN the Panamera. Not the 911.

And the tradition continues

I read somewhere that the number one thing that Porsche aficiondos hate is the next generation of their favorite Porsche model. Not me...I am very happy with what I see.

Agreed. As always, Porsche will have a waiting list.
