AWE headers

Just bought AWE headers and want to replace OEM headers. Looks like the access to all mounting nuts/screws is very easy. I'm thinking about replacing them by myself. Do you have any experience or advices as far of replacement? Thank you!

do you have a .1 997 ? if so, some of the early models had studs on the cat flanges and not push/pull through bolts. if you're not careful you can snap these studs when removing the existing header/cat connection. not good. as suggested, use PB Penetrating Oil or equivalent for a night or two before the r&r.

good luck !

If you break the studs on the cats use a center punch and just drive them out. Use the appropriate size bolts to put it back together. Do use penetrating oil. You don't want to break the fasteners to the heads.
