Alright, so I talk to the GM up there, his July allocation of Carrera S were all sold, there were 8, doesn't know what his allocation will be for Sept but will get me a car for November build for delivery first of the year.

Honestly I kind of thought the when the sales guy told it takes 6-8 months he may have exaggerated a little but he wasn;t really that far off the mark. I guess if you choose to order from a local dealer and you want to equip the car, and the car is in demand then it does take at least 3 months and a lot longer depending on allocation. Anyway, I'm actually in line. Glad I like my C55 cause its gonna be awhile.

August is the 3-week factory vacation. Usually cars built after the vacation are September production, delivery in late October, early November.

If you really don't want to take delivery until January '06, order a November production car. You should have it in January or early Feb.

Do NOT let the order be submitted prior to end of July or even early September, or the likelihood is the car could be here before you want it. But sometimes that can be a good thing.

This is our understanding and it will suck to have to drop by and have to stand around all those Porsches and reiterate my wishes once or twice a month.

My 01 TT came 3 weeks earlier than scheduled
I was excited and happy except for the fact that I had to sell my C4 in like 5 days and so got less than I could have gotten for it....a lot less....It was nice having one of the first TTs in town though
