Why is PDK so popular? Manual Vs. PDK
Freak,
The funny part of your post is that it "bothers you". Why should it. It's a choice a person makes, just like the color they choose.
Here's my suggestion.
Buy a Porsche that shows over revs or mods, we can all get in a heated debate and after a while these silly threads will be closed. Especially the one on your financing.

I've had 2 PDKs (One C2S, one Panamera S) and 2 6 Speeds (Carrera GTS and Boxster S), and have come to the conclusion that it depends on what type of driving you do and how involved you want to be in the driving experience.
But to be completely honest:
* PDK is faster - ALWAYS.
* 6-SPD is more fun to drive - ALMOST ALWAYS (stop/go traffic is it's nemesis).
Also - it takes a lot more skill to drive a 6-spd fast...often more than I have. Correct clutch engagement, heel/toe, shift points. Which is one of the reasons why I enjoy mine so much...it's a constant challenge and learning curve (just like my golf game).

Im just asking others. It DOESNT hurt to ask others. Some people went through it, and thats why its better to ask then to panic etc.
About the PDK, I'm not bothered by it, just don't know why people like it so much on a sports car.

You wrote it kinda bothered you. At least go back and read what you wrote.
Yes...many people come here for and to share info...some come to build their egos. Just a thought.
