K40 Radar Detector not working, no power

I have a 2006 Porshe 911S Cab.

I was told by previous owner the K40 was dealer installed but currently the radar detector doesn't work. Any way to find out which fuse it is hooked up to? Any other common problems with the unit? Is it worth fixing?

Thanks for any advice given!!

Can't you find and trace the wiring to the detector?

The system is hardwired, dont see any wires running to fuse box.

Does it even light up when you start the car? Maybe they left the leds and took the rest out. You should also look for the front antenna. It should be mount under the car up front where the 3rd rad would go. If the front antenna is gone then I would be the rest of the system is gone.
It sucks anyway. My car came with it but I still use my V1. My V1 alerts 3-5 seconds ahead of the K40.
I see you are in Houston. You need to join the lsrpca.org. C&C the saturday in Friendswood and charity drive on the 21st. Hope to see you there.

mine did the same, back of the on/off - volume switch where the wires are attached, mine broke loose, flashlight and check the switch.

Are you sure previous owner left it behind. My car had aK40 installed but all previous owner left behind was the remote and one Bluetooth device in one of the rear tailligt recepticals.
