Ipod FM module, sound quality?

Ipod FM module, sound quality?
All,
I have the ipod FM module for my 06 997S , I had a very old ipod before but now this ipod is dead.
I know with the newer generation ipods, I would need another adapter wire in order for the ipod to charge (http://www.suncoastparts.com/product//I612C47102.html). I know with just 1 wire, the sound quality isn't great to begin with, I'm worried with 2 wires the quality will go from mediocre to unacceptable.
anyone here got this setup? feedback please!
