Daddy's got some new shoes...Pilot Super Sports!

Well after much consternation (I was going to get some Hankook Evo's) I pulled the trigger on some Michelin Pilot Super Sports- These are "supposed to be BETTER and CHEAPER than the PS2's" from what everybody is telling me- they look great and I threw in some new wheels as well....

The wheels are Ruger Mesh- I got a great deal on both tires and wheels and was handled very well by Eli over at Wheel Dynamics in LA.

Here is another pic...

HRE look at a fraction of the cost. Looks like the SS's have no rim protection whatsoever. Should be great performance - finally at a competitive price.

fracman5 is infamous around these parts
Did the pilot super sports about 2 months ago and love them, a dramatic improvement over the PS2's on my C2S. Enjoy!

I agree- much cheaper and a great look for sure. I got a fantastic package price as well.

All good.

Actually they do have pretty good rim protection. I went with 245/305 on 8.5/11.5 19's and the rears have very good protection while the fronts are ok.

Hankook Evos to MPSS is going from the ridiculous to the sublime. Well done!

You should get superior traction and steering precision and a more comfortable ride. Do tell what you find 500 miles hence, will you?

Yes I will- they were about $500 more than the Hankooks for the set- but from what I hear that's a bargain compared to PS2's.

I can't wait until they make my size. 245/30/20 and 325/25/20. I've heard bad reviews about the Hankook evos. PS2 are nice but a bit pricey. My other choice in those sizes are Pzeros and Conti's DW extreme contacts, both not as good as the PS2's.

I have 1600 miles on mine including 3 days at the Glen. They make a great dual purpose tire choice.
