I like the side profile best. At least to my eye, I see styling cues from the GT-1 in the roof line and front/rear over hang.

I like it. Would probably want to sit in one before abandoning the 997.2. Is it mean or is the windshield slope steeper in the "older" model?

I like it! Evolutionary progress, just as Porsche has always done...

Just imagine how the bumperette would ruin the look (again) on the US bound cars...

Subtle changes, but that is as it should be. I like the new model. It looks good.

I think those lights/reflectors by the exhaust look dumb. I like the interior, except the all buttons by the shifter.

this pretty much sums the new 991 up (from another forum):

"Not hump-backy enough, looks like a 911 as interpreted by Aston Martin."

looks really sleek, and with that roofline/rear end I can only imagine how menacing the gt2/3/RS is going to look!

Hmm, just not convinced yet. I do like the front. The rear-end will take some getting used to. Also, not sure the 991 is a 2012 car. They will be announcing it this fall ... not releasing it (at least not to my knowledge). I suspect this will be a 2013 model, especially since there are 2012 997s.

Appears to me that the 911 model is becoming more Gran Tourismo than GT car as it evolves. Might suggest the plan is to make the Boxster and Cayman the more track oriented offerings in the future and the 911 will be the boulevard cruiser in the lineup. Time will tell. Bigger does not equate to better when it comes to sports cars in my opinion.
