I think it's a great design tweak but I probably wouldn't do it unless I could get a silver one for the steering wheel as well. I've never seen one of those before.

 

Okay - done - thanks for all the help / info and especially the great pictures. I just ordered one from Fletcher Jones in Freemont...just when I thought I was more-or-less done with subtle mods. Now...what's next? Those CF door pulls look surprisingly nice...

 

I agree. I intially wanted to get the silver crest as well but considering i my car has the turbo metal center wheel caps in gold color, i decided to pass on it.

 

I went with a black crest bc I think it looks pretty tough, and I didn't like the gold. I think silver is a great alternative, though. I bought some used silver crest wheel caps and they're awesome. Pretty subtle though.
Still have the gold on the wheel. I'd like to change it, but it's not on the top of my list, and it doesn't bug me that much.
However, if a good solution presents itself, I may cave in...

 

I too have the black crest and think that it looks more tough, but my wife prefers the gold cause it's "prettier" I don't think you could go wrong with either choice...gold, silver, black...they all look good.

I saw a silver and black crest on carrera white, and it looked really nice.

 

Got the silver & red crest from Fletcher jones and installed it over the weekend. Fwiw - i'm very happy with it on my black car. Nice subtle mod. I doubt many people would notice, which is just fine with me.

 

I have an arctic silver car....I think that the silver crest would look great. I have them on my wheels. I am getting rear LEDs and red seat belts are next on my mod priority list! The wife only allows so much spending at the "toy store!"

 

Well, regarding only so much spending at the toy store or on the toy, be careful about how much time you spend here. God knows, because of this forum, I now "need" several things for my car about which I never would have otherwise known.

Or there's always the option of a separate account!
