Side window guide residue?

After fully lowering the windows several times I noticed a white streaky hard residue left on the glass in the up down direction. Does anyone know what this is and what can be done about it? I'm just guessing it's something rubbing off onto the glass as it passes through some sort of guides.

This is a recently acquired 2007 911t.

Thanks

This happens on all my cars.....GMC Pickup, the 911 and every freaking car I've ever owned. Now I got some kind of grease on the felt seals so every time I wash and clean the car the I roll the window down and streaks of grease all over.

bustert,

I had the same issue on a 911, get the window seals replaced, it will fix the problem.
