launch control feature gone after installation of paddle shift steering wheel

after i changed from the original steering wheel with rocker switches to a paddle shift steering wheel from techart (as far as i know those are also original porsche items) on my 2009 997.2 C2S, the launch control feature is gone; initially, the backlight for "sport" and "sport plus" did not work either, after a regular service at our Porsche Centre they managed to activate the backlight when either of the modes is activated, but launch control is still not working; it worked very well before, just put in sport plus mode, right foot on the brake and kick down the throttle...off we go!
my tuner has also tried various times to solve the problem, but not successfully so far...
does anyone have a similar problem and if possible a hint or solution?
i really want my launch control feature back...desperately!
thanks!

Have you put the original wheel back in to see if it will work again?

Good idea - however, the original wheel has been shipped back to Techart for a refund, so i dont have it anymore...but i could ask my tuner or porsche centre to put an original one in and check - thanks a lot for the advice!

Switching the wheel back could tell you if it is the steering wheel, or if it is a control module.
