GTS pricing

Dropped by my local dealer in Greenwich CT yesterday. They have a bunch of '11 GTS's, mostly cabs. Even a used '11 GTS. The '11's are already marked about $15k off sticker. Apparently they have a program to move them. Already too late in the NE, given that it is Nov. When the 991's come out the '12 GTS's will be lame ducks too. They suspected that the '11 GTS's will go close to $100k to move them come April. Apparently the dealers got a lot of GTS's allocated to inventory. They had a Turbo S that "travels" to dealers - MSRP was ramped up to $211k! Looked beautiful, but holy cow! Aero kit, lots of carbon, PCCB's, it adds up.

I was looking at a GTS last month in Cincinnati. The dealer offered $11k off sticker, free maintenance and a reasonable value on my car.

I noticed that, too. Unfortunately we're searching for a deal on Cayenne and those are impossible to find. Strange they'd make so many carrera's but not enough Cayennes.

Of course these are "leftovers". Not to mention, there's got to be hesitation before the 991.

I have seen at least one advertised 18.5k of MSRP. I am sure if a serious buyer walked in to make a deal, they could get one for more than 22k off.

I looked at their website last night and the majority of their cars are GTS'. I spoke once with a salesman there (Peter I think but could be wrong) and got a decent vibe but never went as I decided the car they had was not for me.

At this point, I would wait for the 991 I think. The reviews have been great. However, 20K off I would start to think this over.

I've spoken to Aldo. Very knowledgeable. No point to rush out now. No one is dying to buy a 911 in the winter. would be great to know what the factory incentives are.

Even with discounts of $15K or $20K, the 991S will will likely outperform the GTS and I think the GTS will have a tough time competing.
