Is it me or are the LED DRL's on the market (RoTEC, Dectane, etc...) exactly the same in terms of design? If so I would be willing to buy from RoTec due to their customer support and support here they have shown to us.

Thoughts?

Could anyone please post picture of the hack that is needed in US markets for making the LED DRL function as a daytime running light

Specifically pictures of installing TFLM03 module or equivalent (25 Euro), wiring to battery, need for (2 or 3 ?) T connectors?

Well, I ordered my set of DRL from Frank @ ORANGE TUNING and I received them 10 working days later. (My DECTANE taillights took 5 working days when I ordered from him before and my DECTANE DRL module took 13 working days). Depends on customs I guess.

Yeserday, I finally had the time to get the DRL LED and the DECTANE DRL module installed. My friend BO from AUDIOMOBILE in Oakland, CA did the install for me and we did use a load resistor set just in case there were any problems. We didn't use any T-connectors, but he soldered every wire.

I chose a different route for my DRL function. My DRL function is on and start AND when I turn the headlights on. I can turn the DRL function off by turning the Fog light on.

I would like to personally thank TT291 for all his help to this forum on the DRL LED.

I will post pictures soon.

Everything works fine, but come to find out my passenger side middle strip city light is defective and not working, turn signal and DRL led perfect.

I really don't care for the middle strip... too many lights.

Sent e-mail to Frank @ ORANGE TUNING.... Hopefully replacement soon.

Second pic shows the middle strip not working on the passenger side while the driver side is working.

Did you take the light out and check all the connections? This happened to me too... I took the light out, double checked everything (unplugged and re-plugged the connections) put it back, and it worked.

Same here. Had similar problem when installing. Turns out, connection was not seated properly.

Yes I did... I also took the liberty of putting/hooking up the driver side to the passenger side and the passenger side to the driver side. driver side middle strip worked on both plugs. passenger side no workie on either side.

Hopefully Frank gets back to me soon.

It's the center plug. Unplug it and turn it around and plug back in. It's the polarity.

Bummers. Defective unit perhaps. I would try reversing the polarity as noted by MB700. Appears Frank is also getting his LED DRL from same supplier/manufacturer as Rottec?
