I split up with my boyfriend a couple of years ago and I had custody :-) of our Boxster which we had purchase just a couple of years before brand new. It was on a finance agreement so when I couldnt afford to keep running it the buyer which I found via dealerbid.co.uk just settled the outstanding finance and I got a cheque for the difference (which wasnt a lot), I had only done 9k miles and lost a lot of money. Having purchased it in speed yellow didnt make things easy finding a good buyer either :-(

 

From my experience, consignment is the way to go. Typical fee is 5% of the sale price.
