Center Console Removal - stuck because Universal Audio Interface wire
Center Console Removal - stuck because Universal Audio Interface wire
Hello All,
A big thanks to the forum discussions and and CRV911's direct assistance so far!
I'm trying to install the OEM SSK and have been using the Console Removal and B&M instructions as guides, but i have run into a situation that turned up no results on search.
I'm at the point where all screws are removed and the Console is ready to be lifted out. However, there is still a cable connected to the Universal Audio Interface leading to somewhere underneath the shifter - i can't trace it, and it does not lead back to the center console connector (under the bin).

I removed the wire clips that are under the console, but it's pinned down at one point and i cannot reach the clips to undo it.
So my next thought was to remove the wires connected to the Universal Audio Interface. The dumb question is what's the right way to remove the connectors? I already broke a few clips removing the shift boot, and i just don't want to break anything else. I tried to pull on the connectors different ways, but not sure if there's another way to accomplish this...

To recap: My goal is to remove the center console. However, because of the Universal Audio Interface Connectors, it prevents me from completely removing the console. What is the best way to get past this point?
Thanks,
Wolf

I am looking to do the same. My guess is that the entire piece (console plus wires) comes out and it disconnected at a different location.
The only info. I've found is here:

Good luck and let us know the out come.

I did this a couple of weeks ago installing my SSK. You can unclip the USB wires where you have them circled in yellow. The group of colored wires simply disconnects by unclipping the plastic port. If I remember, there is a small lever to unclip.
For the other wire, I think it pulls directly out where the round section meets the square section. Can't remember exactly, though. After taking a close look, it became apparent how both pieces disconnected.
