I had no idea what 84A meant until I Googled it You're 100% right... Although for a few years I thought 92U would be more 'grown up'.. But no regrets whatsoever!!!

Thanks, the wheels are in pristine condition, and they sold me a used set of 18" Carrera wheels /w monochrome wheel caps & Michelin Aplin winter tires (still lots of tread left) for $1k... I couldn't say no, pretty sure these would have cost me nearly $4-5k new?? And now the 19" 997.2 wheels are definitely something to look forward to for spring

Fantastic story.....I started reading and see similarities in me. I have been eyeing these cars for many many years. I had never sat in one until December 2011, that too was in the dealer lot. I have never been in a moving Porsche. Though I just emailed the dealer this evening to pay a visit this Saturday for a first drive.

Congratulations on your purchase!

I hope to join the club in a few months, I've seen there are a group of Toronto folks that get together. Would be great.

If you're going to Pfaff, ask specifically to work with Maurizio Gatto -- he has been with Pfaff for over a decade and really knows his stuff... super friendly, a family man, and just an all-around nice guy. Very low-pressure sales guy, he really wants to help you find the right car for you. I can't praise his work enough, truly a great guy to deal with and I'll definitely be going back to him when it's time to buy the family a Cayanne!

p.s. be sure to let him know Justin is sending him business
Maurizio Gatto --- Direct: (905)850-4551 --- Cell: (416)898-4133 ---- Email: mauriziogatto@pfaffporsche.com

Glad you had a good experience with Pfaff. I went there roughly 2 yrs ago when I started looking for a C4/C4S. Can't remember the question I asked the salesman but basically he said he was selling porsches not hondas....ended up buying from Annapolis Porsche in Maryland.

Thanks! Yep, only other red 997 that I saw on the lot was a newer Targa (beautiful but a bit out of my budget).

Definitely not the experience I had... And to shed some more perspective, I walked in the first time, a 29 year old with wife and 1 yr old baby... Expected to have at least a few sales folks laugh and point, but Maurizio treated me like any other customer. I could have been buying a Carrera GT and I couldn't have expected any more respect from him. Can't stress enough how great of an experience I had with him... For anyone looking in the GTA, be sure to give him a call before making a final decision.

Haha --- yeah, sorry about the long post... But think it helps paint a very clear picture, and hopefully brings back some of the nostalgia some 'more seasoned' Porsche owners may have experienced at one point!

That's awesome... I joke with my wife that my daughter's first words will be Carrera!
