so confused about the new 997

so confused about the new 997

in the past the S meant wider body
now we will have a C2 and C2S same body and c4S with 44mm wider, right?
So c2s is no longer the wide body.
why are they mixing it up like that?

Nah, trick is people will buy the C4S, then after the Turbo comes out with an even wider body they'll release a Turbobody C2/4 which you'll just have to have...

Usually, S variants (even on cayenne) have TT suspension and brakes....In this case I am not sure this is so too...
In a way it is good that TT will be a seperate beast from the C4S which makes the look more unique (until everyone retrofits TT bumpers on their NA cars)

I think that Porsche is going back to what the old "S" meant. Same basic looks but more performance. At least that's the way it was during the '70's.

The wider "S" cars started in 96. Before that anything with an S was just as wide as regular a regular 911.
