I have a 2007 Carrera S with an opportunity to upgrade my TPS and gain 40% better Throttle response. My question is it worth it to get it? They want $650 for it.

What is 'better throttle response' exactly.

The factory throttle does WOT when the pedal is on the floor.

If you have the sport option, you already get some throttle curve remapping (smaller movement in early pedal travel results in greater throttle position). It does mean you spend more time with wider throttle.. and as a result, harder to drive slower with controlled throttle.

 

don't bother, you can get an improved throttle response with a Softronic flash

 

Just press the sport button.

 

For a throttle by wire car, the Sprint Boost Module amplifies the signal (as if that matters) and, more importantly causes the throttle to open wider for any given pedal position, i.e., you "get on it" faster. It is complimentary to other electronic mods and one which I recommend, aprticularly since it is cheap
