It's not a bad deal if ppi looks good. Warranty is good to have.

The question is are you going to regret not getting an S?

Yes... I want an s model!!! But I can't find one that fits my budget. I hope that a couple aftermarket mods in a year or so can pick up the horses to make it more s like ... I also want a car that won't depreciate much... I worry that the 4 without the s will be undesirable..

I found a 2006 c2s for the same price put has 79k miles and no warranty... Would this be a better choice or just flash the ecu and add some exhaust and intake to the c4 with warranty and less miles

If you are considering purchasing this car why wouldn't you think someone else would do the same in the future. Your market might be a little tighter. I wouldn't worry about it if everything else fits. I have a GTS and 90 percent of the time I use no more than your prospective C4 has to offer.

As an owner of a high mileage 997, I would say go for it, as long as it has a solid PPI and no problems on the DME, as well as excellent service records. If it has been taken care of, that might be a way to get into an S relatively inexpensively. Mine remains trouble-free at 72K miles.

Most I've seen with problems have been garage queens, but that is only my experience.
