GT3 wing on C2s

My friend just upgraded his GT3 3.7 to a cup car wing since it is mostly a track car. I asked and he said I could have first chance on the stock wing. The air intakes and fan position are different on both cars, is there a way to make the deck lid compatible to work on my 997.1? I know that aftermarket companies make different inner lids that fit but I wanted to have a real Porsche part instead of aftermarket. If the engine cover can't be modified, could I use a GT3 air box?
I remember reading somewhere you can do it if you replace the air box with a cone filter setup like a Fabspeed unit, but I would rather keep a stock enclosed filter setup.
Any info would be appreciated

You can make anything fit any car. How much can you do yourself and how much will you be paying for? Go by your body shop or your mechanic tomorrow and ask them what they would charge you to install the parts. As to the open air filter, many do it without problem. I've considered it but haven't gotten around to it yet. What you didn't mention is the year of car the tail came off of and your year. If all you're doing is mounting the wing you can do that but you'll probably need an additional hydraulic support due to the extra weight.

That's the best info I can get? No one has done this before? I guess I will ask in the GT3 forum, they might know more.

Sorry, I can't contribute anything meaningful, BUT I would be willing to say that the GT3 airbox - if it can be swapped out, will likely cost WAAAY more than I'd want to spend to make the GT3 decklid work. Evolution Motorsports makes an intake within a box for $595. Bet you could buy two or three for the price of the GT3 airbox!
