Any options for 997.1 C4S LED Tails

Hey guys,

So i have a question that might have been asked before but i just can't find the answer after going through pages of threads.
I saw all the options out there for swapping your tail lights on 997.1 to the 997.2 LED look.
But on a C4 or C4S there is the red "reflector" across the trunk. Has anyone figured out a solution for that?
It would be nice to add the LED tails but it still wouldn't make look "somewhat authentic" since as you all know on C4 and C4's there's that red stripe across the trunk.
Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I believe that red reflector is only on the 997.2 models. I have a 997.1 and there isn't one of those on mine. I may be wrong, but I believe the reflector came on the newer models, not the 1st gen.

You can swap your deck lid for a .2. Not the most cost effective, but doable.

I've priced the OEM bumper, decklid with reflector, LEDs, other necessary parts to do a 997.1 to 997.2 4S conversion and paint/install....$4500. Note, it doesn't look quite right if you install a 997.2 4S decklid on a 997.1. The taillights do not taper up to meet the decklid reflector and colors (e.g. the red in the taillights and decklid reflector) do not match.

Thanks for the info.
I realized that the back bumper is somewhat different and like you said would have to change all these things.
4500$ is a little for my taste.
