I did it!
It's official and I can't tell you how excited I am!
You may have saw my threads and posts over the past 7 months asking about buying advice and asking for advice on cars I was considering. Many nights I hovered over my keyboard searching for 'that car'. I can happily say that I've retired from searching! It was a full time job. I was looking for an 09 4s. My rationale for wanting that car. 1) I love the wide body. I wanted the '4' for the wide body, not the awd. 2) I wanted the updated DFI motor. 3) I wanted the updated technology (LEDs, Bluetooth, etc.). Aside from this full leather was a must.
I went to my local dealership around lunch today. I stop in every few weeks to ask if any 4S's have come in. I asked my usual question and the answer was the same it had been for the past couple of months. No 4S's.
The salesman (who did a great job) said why are you so stuck on a 4S? I gave him my reasons above and he turned me onto what I ultimately purchased today. It is a beauty!!!!
I pick it up on Tuesday. I'm in LOVE.

What I've learned over the past 6 months is that the used car market is out of control right now. You can buy new for what the market is getting for 3 year old cars.

I want to protect the front end. How much should a 3M clear wrap cost me. Front bumper, full hood, fenders, mirrors?
Also, when I go back to pick it up, any advice on things I should look for, ask for? Anything I should ask them to 'throw in'?

FYI< ask the dealer about a recall for loose fuel lines on the 2012.
If you got a good deal I would get out before they sell you overpriced products on your pick up day.
