First of all, I'd like to say hello to everyone on this excellent Porsche forum.

I'm a car enthusiast that lives for a car with great feel and character. I've only driven two previous generation 911's, the 993 C4S and the 996TT, and I loved both of them. They were owned by my dad, and in the next few months I'll be able to buy a Porsche of my own.

The Porsche that I'm looking at is the 997 (C2 or C2S). I like the clean classic body lines and the fact that it'll be RWD.

I just have a few questions about both versions:
- Are there any key "service issues" with the 997? Like the need to replace the diverter valves on the 996TT, to stop the honking?
- What's the deal with the recent talk about the factory offered performance upgrades for the 997 and 997S?
- If I want a racier sound than the factory exhaust, what would you recommend?

1. This car is not a Twin Turbo so there are no diverter valves so do not worry about "honking"

2.The factory will offer x51 The Carrera S POWERKIT.
It comes with Sport Exhaust and Sport Exhaust chrome tips
Power goes to 381 hp with same engine displacement, 3.8liter
Main mods are new Cyl. heads, Exhaust Tubulars, New aluminium admission and additional radiator.

3. Any one of the performance sponsors on the right can help you with an exhaust to make the car more aggresive..cargraphic,fabspeed,europie....PSI..tak e your pic
