.2 has no clutch bleeder?

I was reading about a brake flush and clutch flush and saw that someone posted that the 997.2 doesn t have a bleeder, just a return line. Can someone confirm? Also, if it has one is this bleed using the motivator only and why am I seeing some say clutch pedal should be blocked down or I ve even read having some one push down the pedal during the process???? Thanks for the clarifications.

update/ I keep reading that the .2 has a return line and no bleeder. That means just doing a old school brake fluid change will do the trick as the clutch returns the fluid back to the system. Just wait for someone to confirm because I don t want to spread mis information.

You are right about the return line. Porsche sells a special tool that need to be inserted in the line if you want to bleed that circuit. It is essentially a "removable bleed nipple" and it is documented in Technical Document ID# WM300107TW.

The technical docs are available here but are not free ($2 per doc):
https://techinfo2.porsche.com/PAGInf...OStart&lk=ELSE

That being said, if you do not open up the system and you are just changing the fluid for the same thing as what is in there already, I think that just the recirculation of fluid will be fine.

In fact, even though I have the tool and did the whole thing when I change fluid type (went to Motul), I am conveniently forgetting abut this procedure for just regular fluid changes because it is such a pain in the a&& to do.

Hope this helps,

T.

P.S.: If you are really a perfectionist, there is also the ABS flush to think about...
