I'd go for the gts. You need to know that once you own a 911 you will always wish you had got a slightly different car. I have a c4 997.1. Absolutely love it. When I drive my friends 2s I wish I had got that. Drove a boxster on a warm summer night - wish I'd got that! Haha. I see turbos I am saving for that. GTS has the best of the 997. I also don't like to buy the first model yr but that's just me.

 

GTS gets my vote. In less than a year what was once fresh and new may get old faster than you may think. The GTS comes with a lot more personality, which can be more rewarding than having the latest and greatest. A side by side comparison would definitely put this debate to rest. With that said, dont let the opinions of others influence your initial decision. Pick the one that puts a bigger smile on your face.
