Thanks guys! The deciding factor was weight and style. This new stepped lip design is very unique because the edge of the lip is straight like on the "R" series wheels. It does not have that extra step on the edge like other stepped lip wheels which makes them look too busy.

This soap is part of a detailing kit ($450) sold at your local Porsche dealership. I was given the kit for free by a friend who sold his porsche and moved away. I only used the soap before taking the pics... but also had the car clayed 2 weeks prior.

WOW!!! That is by far the best looking 997 I have seen! WOW, sorry I just had to say WOW again... So sleek and subtle, it looks so plain and perfect. I love what you have done to your car (exterior and performance wise)! You are def the man of the hour!

i always thought HRE made quality wheels, but i always have preferred a true lightweight race wheel like something made by Work, Kinesis, Fikse, Volk, etc. then i heard something about HRE introducing a line of competition wheels a few months back. but these are the first pics i've seen of them actually mounted on a car. so, out of curiosity, how much do they actually weigh? i love the design of the stepped lip...my fav HRE was always the 540R.

also, i didn't realize people were S/Cing their 997's already. did akkurat put it on the dyno after the install (what #s are you making)?
