Unhappy 997.2 C2S Eibach Springs PASM Issue

Had my workshop install the Eibach 7217.140 springs on my 2010 997.2 C2S.
However, after the installation I get a failure indication on the PASM.

I´ve had the battery off for 30 min and driving around for like an hour, but the warning indication is still there.

Anyone else hade this issue?

There might be a lot of reasons. However, I would check and see if the shocks are connected (pasm connectors). They might be pinched when installing the ECU tray in the rear. Should not be a big nightmare.

I agree with the connection issue. It would be easy not to get one of the connections properly seated. I put a set of Eibachs on my 997.2S and never had an issue.

Hope it's simple.

Hmm,
Could it have something to do with that my car is a "EU-car" (I´m living in Sweden) and the Eibach springs are exclusively made for "US-cars" (which I understand have a slightly different suspension/height)?

Did you check the wire connections for the shocks? You should also inspect the wires where they exit the shock bodies. The wires could be damaged at those locations.

Hopefully the shop didn't use an impact gun to remove the top nut.

I realize this is a necro thread but it came up in a search so I thought I'd leave my comment here for posterity.

When reinstalling the PASM wires you need to know that even though the plug and receptor are not directional the wires ARE. If you look inside the receptor you'll see a -1- and -2-. The same -1- and -2- are on the face of the plug end too. Align -1- with -1- and -2- with -2-. If you juxtapose them incorrectly you'll get the same error indicated in this thread even though they are plugged in. If you are, check each of your PASM connections and be sure they are aligned correctly.

Hope that helps anyone who may find this thread in the future and are having this problem.

Cheers.
