In an attempt to reduce unsprung weight on my 997-1 Carrera S, who makes a reasonably priced, quality forged light weight wheel? I know the major brands, but do not want to pull the trigger without polling the pros on this forum first. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have two sets of VolkTE37's, really light, and I only paid around 2K per set. They were both from the classifieds and the last pair was pretty much new.

Not forged but extremely light and cheap from a reputable business (Iforged Wheels),
www.forgestar.com

Cor Wheels makes reasonably priced forged wheels.

Got my set of Volk TE37 used from classified section on this forum as well. I love these wheels.

Try to score a set of good used wheels. It may take a bit of time, but it is well worth it.

I'm surprised China hasn't tapped into the forged wheel industry yet. Good luck with your search. But I think more than anything else in the automotive industry, this market will continue the trademark of "You get what you pay for."

+1. Oz wheels are very light for their size, very strong, and prices are very reasonable compared to forged wheels. They're not forged like YNOT mentioned, but you should seriously check them out.
