In this case i could be faster than 997tt but with a friend with 997tt APR i ate his dust.
There's no optimisim. It's actually the exact opposite. If you take the 441whp (shown in the dyno below) and divide it by .82 (drivetrain loss) you actually get even more "optimistic" numbers = 537.8hp. So at 510, we are being very conservative

*Note- DOCTOR 911s and this post is referring to a 997S 3.8, not a 997 non-s.

The 321 wheel torque isn't bad either. Nice work on low boost.

I can bring you dynos number with more than 530hp but he have to be serious with this kit because if it's 537hp it would be faster than the 997tt but,I'm sorry,it's much slower than the 997tt....

But my $.02....(if you do not have a VF charger)...could be the tuning within the ECU......

Also....
The dyno may not have a problem.....no two dynos will read the same number.....too many variables exist! Some dynos read BIG numbers so that people keep coming back and yet others are called "Ego' busters because they read reality......I did three dynos in a two day period a very long time ago and there was 60 RWHP difference between the high and low!

something for you to read...

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...-lying-feature

My favourite line By Dinan(BMW tuner) on page 2..."Basically, what horsepower would you like? I can give you anything from 330 to 420 with the same car," Dinan says.
Doctor911s, again, thank you for your input. As stated in our 997 supercharger thread which you chose to re-post this same info: You will notice that we use a Vortech V3, not a V2, and custom designed piping/routing of not only the intake air tract to specific measurements, but also the water cooling lines to insure adequate water flow to and from both the front-mount and the intake charge cooler. Without adequate waterflow, stagnant or improperly circulated water will lead to power loss.

Most importantly though, our tuning lies at the heart of the differences. 1000's of miles of testing in different conditions and on our 4-wheel Mustang Dyno combined with our resources and 16 years of experience tuning not only Porsches, allows us to make our conservative power claims.

Specifically, have we ever raced a 997TT with the vehicle used for this dyno? I don't believe we have. Do we use cars for testing that we know to be at the "health" and maintenance that we desire? Yes. Can we guarantee the performance of each individual owners' cars due to their own motors' health and maintenance? No. This is why we post conservative numbers.

Again, thank you for your input, but we kindly ask you to post information about your own kit in your own thread.

Hey guys,
I've been absent for a long time on these forums. I guess after I blew my engine at the track (IMS), the $XX,XXX I shelled out for a new motor kind of made me lose some of my passion for the mod game.

But here I am, considering doing another VF-E SC kit. The power was just amazing, and I miss it so much,. VF-E's tech support was just incredible, too, they were 24/7/365 for me.

Anyone considering this can read a TON about it, and make your own decision. For me, and Stacy, and Jared, it was incredible. I'm less interested and excited about my car without it- hence my interest in installing it again.

If VF-E will make a 2nd time customer deal for me, I'll do the entire installation on video.

Cattman,

Good for you! It is tough to go back to stock after having all that extra power!
If I had another car, I would be doing the same thing! I think the DIY install was the best part of the FI journey.Just so much satisfaction of doing it yourself.

Thanks for compliment....I can't speak for Cattman but I am sure he feels the same way....I was just so glad to show everyone that the average guy could do the install himself.

I was told this by the previous owner of my car as well. Unfortunately I've been having some issues with my system and have been trying to get a hold of them through Nik and this board for the last 5 days with no response...

I've got to say, with all positive feedback I heard from the previous owner and read here regarding customer service, VF-E is sure coming up short with me. Really hoping to hear back from them soon.

You may get better luck by calling them then emailing them. That has been my experience.
