Clutch pedal travel distance

Hey all. I was wondering if anyone here has compared the clutch pedal travel distance in a 997.2 manual transmission to other (non-Porsche) cars. I had not thought about this but the other day I got a chance to drive a friend's Mazda Miata manual and I found the clutch pedal travel distance to be very small. These are obviously two very different cars but did anyone of you feel the pedal could have shorter travel?
