Just started doing research into window tinting. I have never tinted a vehicle before because I always like having maxim visibility/transparency.

Now I am interested in tinting my 997 Targa, primarily for UV protection.

Have any of you used any nano technology or the photo tints such as Prestige Photo-Sync.

I understand that all 997's need felt added to the underside to protect the tints or they will scratch first time the tinted windows are rolled down.

Also I have a Targa, so I assume people also are getting the sliding glass roof tinted as well, have you done this to yours?

Would love to hear back on what you have done, or your experience with high transparency UV tints.

 

I have Wincos applied to my car. Even their least tinted film you get 90%+ UV blockage, and the temp drop is pretty dramatic. My tint guy says it's ceramic and it does have the ceramic characteristic, but some member on the forum disagrees. Either way it blocks out a lot of heat for me and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
