Torn between what to buy
Love the GT3 but I don't track enough to justify one and no rear seats, big no no for me as I take my kids to school in the Porsche. So I got one with a GT3 body kit, best of all worlds.
Z06, extremely fast, great price but like you already know since you are in Colorado, you can't go a mile without seeing one or two or three in row if you live in Littleton like me. Since you spend most of your time inside, I could not live with the plastic interior.
I respect the GTR for what it is, it is a beast. But I am not ready for an automatic, whether it's PDK, SMG, F1, etc. Now if it was manual, GTR would be way up my list. The Porsche is still a weekend car for me. I drive my MDX and minivan 80% of the time. I will not get into another automatic no matter how fast it shifts.
The AM V8V was actually my first choice over the Porsche. But when I add up all the pros and cons, the only thing pro the AM has over the Porsche was looks. That was not enough to get me in an AM.

And I wanted to buy some new toys. I dont have children yet. But I might someday, and I will my Porsche still. So in the long run, it might be the best deal
Everyone here seems to be seeing ZO6 corvettes on the street everyday..... I understand corvettes are pretty common, and I do see the base models here and there, but hardly ever see a ZO6. In fact, I have not seen one on the street in over three months (and I notice cars).
They are not as common as people are making them out to be. Infact, at least here in Melbourne FL, I see 3x more 911s than I do ZO6 Corvettes.
To answer your question, I'd get a GT3 if you can swing one with decent miles in your price range. My second choice would be a ZO6. Aston is too much maintenance for me to put up with and the GT-R, while amazingly capable, is just not for me (I prefer standard manual over DCTs and I still don't know what to make of its exterior styling).

I would have never guessed that. With how difficult it is to get a German drivers license, I assumed that they were equally as strict in their MOT as the Brits are. Well, too bad the Euro is tanking. You could have made some solid cash re-selling a US Car over there. You might still make it worth while, but not as much as a year ago.

They will pay tons for them. But not a US spec 911.. :/ My friend sold his 11' 5.0 mustang for 35k euro. He walked off with about 44k dollars. He paid 29k for it. What a steal
They do make it hard to get licenses, but the TUV isnt hard on cars.
As long as brakes, lights, horn work and the body is in good condition.
Its pretty much a go

And if I can swing it, I want the GT3. I have just been telling myself, just get your dream car, and in 4 years you will have it paid off. That would be no better feeling for me
