Help. Does anyone have instructions for replacing the headlight switch trim on a 997. The crappy soft touch paint on mine is buggered up. I have a replacement but am not sure about how to get the old one out. I know I've seen the instructions somewhere but can't find them now.

Try the Macarbon website. They have install instructions for various components including the switch trim.

Its an easy install. Use a plastic trim tool with a microfibre cloth to protect trim. " minute job, it just slides out.

 

The switch just slides out after rotating the ****. However, the trim removal requires removal of the **** and the 3 torx screws holding trim in to dash. Don't try prying it out. Directions here:
