Stock 911s - Suspension feels odd..
Hi All..
Bought my 2010 911s PDK with 8,000 miles on her 2 weeks ago. I've gotten comfortable going fast at this point, and notice that over 85 mph, the car feels a bit shakey. I'm coming from a 535i that felt smooth as silk at 120mph.
My question is this.. Do you think it's just the fact that the 911s has a stiffer suspension, and I'm just getting used to a more visceral feel on the road? OR Does the stock 911 has sh*tty suspension out of the factory? OR do you think it's an alignment issue, and typically the 911 out of the factory should feel solid and planted at 100mph carving the highway?
Would love to hear your feedback.
Thx.

+1 on alignment and tire pressures.
My C2 feels WAY more planted than my E60 at speed. However, keep in mind the Porsche is a much lighter car with a shorter wheelbase. It will feel different. Also, the suspension setups are very different. The Porsche communicates very well through the wheel and suspension... you know what is going on. The E60 (mine has sport package) less so, and softer.

Start with the tire pressures first. The information is in your manual and it is free to adjust. Check your tires. Are they a matched set? How does the wear look if they are not new? Get an alignment. The factory alignment isn't always the best. Mine was a bit off on my GTS.
