Help on Shifting
Help on Shifting
I recently purchased porsche gts, Im used to driving boxter s and cayman s as well as my last one, gt3 so I have some comparison to shifting behavior between manual and automatic . This is my first time using pdk trans. Ive noticed that the shifting with gts is quickest however during traffic conditions or uphill moving slowly, I can feel the shifting from gear to gear so roughly. It also sometimes makes a certain irritable noise when shifting( only on slow speed). Can anyone advice if this is normal? I brought it back to the local dealer and the head technician told me this is normal because it is pdk. He told me that it is like driving a manual. Since on computer there is no fault, he also told me that each car using pdk behaves in a different way and has a mind of its own depending how it was driven. I am skeptical and believe this should not be the case so if anyone can tell me that this is normal id feel much better....please help!
Suggest you find another pdk equipped car on lot and drive it to see if it feels the same to you. Your description of the problem is not clear. Also try the different shift modes. Dealer should have done this for you what with all the cars you have been through
