you know that piece with the 9 melted rivets... i was lucky enough to score the leather covered pieces on ebay, didn't know about the rivets and the melted plastic attachment system(mpas), found out when i looked up the diy...by the way, many thanks gundo, anyway, my new piece had the rivets ground off to the piont where there is not enough plastic left to reattach, soo, i drilled out the center of each rivet, being careful NOT to drill too deep, and used self tapping sheet metal screws with washers and it is perfectly reseated, tight as a whatever is nice and tight...just make sure the screws aren't too long or you could end uup with the same result as drilling too deep...i was worried at first that the screws might sit too high and keep the door panel from going back on proper, but , no problem, so just another possible fix if you run into the same thing, that will work, cheers,
